Phil Rush
Branch Manager

Phil Rush started in the HVAC industry over 42 years ago working for a major distributor located in NY, NJ and Connecticut. He started in the warehouse and sales and worked his way up to be the operations manager for all three states. During his tenure working for the distributor he always wanted to expand his career and use his knowledge of the residential and commercial equipment by working for a contractor. A position became available back in 1998 as the operations manager for Matz-Rightway located in Hampton Bays at the time and was rapidly promoted to the position of general manager. During his time at Matz-Rightway he has seen many changes in the industry and is looking forward to what the next chapter in life brings.

We have moved from our former location in Hampton Bays to a state of the art building located in the heart of Riverhead. Our new offices have a full sheet metal shop along with a training room to keep our technicians, salespeople and office staff up to speed on industry changes. We can build and design a system that meets any needs including supporting it after the sale to keep it running at peak performance. Our services include installations, service agreements, demand service, indoor air quality, duct cleaning and much more. Matz-Rightway has a great team of support personnel who can handle whatever is thrown their way and we encourage you to call us 24/7 365 days a year if you need us. Since moving to Riverhead back in 2016 we have strategically located ourselves to service both forks of Eastern Long Island including all of Suffolk County.

Phil and the love of his life Jocelyn have been married for over 20 years and live in Coram. They have two kids who are both out of the house starting their own lives. Their son PJ is an active member of the United States Air Force Security Forces Team and is currently stationed on the island of Guam. Their daughter Emily is currently attending Hofstra University and is studying to become a special education teacher. Emily also works part time as a runway fashion model when she is not in school. Phil has also been an active member of his local fire department and served with the FDNY Ladder 150 during the tragic events that unfolded on 9/11/2001.
